New Age Motorcycles

Kei’s Zero

While standing in line at downtown Vancouver’s Transit office to deal w/ my bum-crushed-inoperable C-Card. I noticed an E-Asian man in riders gear. “Black n Yellow” [3x] in hand a Schuberth C3 Helmet High-Viz [expensive head-gear, I thought]. I figured he may be parked in a spot where he may get ticketed as the line was a-bit lenghty. I offered him my spot in  line [go ahead]. He assents, says it wouldn’t matter. Well, he seems nice of a person. I shouldn’t miss this opportunity to do some M2TVextreme Lifestyle tet-a-tet [putting all (our) proclivity, and my reservedness aside]. I attempted an interview [of sorts]. Here is what transpired. [best of my recollection, since I failed to use my phones video app to record conversation...]

Schuberth C3 Pro Helmet

[After asking, what do you ride, answered]

Zero, electric-motorcycle, from California. [I've heard of them, awesome. I'am thinking it was showcased a couple years ago at the EPiC expo at the Convention Centre, downtown, Vancouver BC, I recall while participating at the event, watching a TV-Media Celebrity of sorts G Strombo' etc try to test it out abit. Should've had a camera phone]. He asked if I ride, [I do not/yet] I mentioned wanting an electric-motorcycle, a S-Korean brand I couldn’t recall the name [brain-freeze, so I'am calling it for now]. It very well, could’ve been an EM=EM1300, 2012. Then again, I said Mitsubishi. Totally wrong brand.

Product Thumnail Image

We discussed, his motorcycle, not only is environmentally friendly, economical as for no [gas pollutant] emissions, less noise from pipes [exhaust] is helpful, beneficial to (ones) the ears, [not loud less noise] his helmet [Schubeth brand] and the additional headset attached to his helmet and that he found listening to music (especially at a stop light and for long rides) very accommodating, and relaxing, and he can enjoy the ride more.

M~2TVextreme Production Celebrates BHM: 2013

HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH: February 2013

or as we’d call it… African-American History Month
http://www.gpb.org/blogs/passion-for-learning/2013/02/01/black-history-month-2013: by Rosemary Jean-Louis

To all our accomplishments and overcoming our trials and tribulations:
We have wons some and we have lost some… in all…
We Salute you BP: Afro-Americans!

Here’s a little excerpt from BET on BHM:

In America, we share a dream that lies at the heart of our founding: that no matter who you are, no matter what you look like, no matter how modest your beginnings or the circumstances of your birth, you can make it if you try. Yet, for many and for much of our Nation’s history, that dream has gone unfilled. For African-Americans, it was a dream denied until 150 years ago, when a great emancipator called for the end of slavery. It was a dream deferred less than 50 years ago, when a preacher spoke of justice and brotherhood from Lincoln’s memorial. This dream of equality and fairness has never come easily — but it has always been sustained by the belief that in America, change is possible
…NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim February 2013 as National African American History Month.
I call upon public officials, educators, librarians, and all the people of the United States to observe this month with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this thirty-first day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand thirteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-seventh.
AMEN!

M~2TVextreme.com Interview w/ Azzkikr founder: Len Edmondson

M~2TVextreme.com Interview w/ Azzkikr founder: Mr. Len Edmondson
On the 34th Annual Vancouver Toy Run: October 7th 2012. This interview took place on Friday, October 12th… a very busy week for ACC. It was hard to pin Len down for this interview… Thanks Len for your time.
As some of you [viewers/patrons] of M~2TVextreme.com know, we posted that Azzkikr Customs Cycles was participating in this year’s Charity Ride and that they had also organized their own meet at their home base on the Fraser Hwy, in Langley BC.
We’re back! And as we promised you, an interview with one of the owners of ACC: Azzkikr Custom Cycles. On the phone today [Fri 12th Oct] we spoke to Len Edmondson about his participation in the 34th Annual Toy Run, which occurred Thanksgiving Sunday (Oct 7th).
It was great to finally get in touch with Len as he’s always on the go, a man on a mission, to bring ACC [Azzkikr Custom Cycles] to the next level. We briefly touched on ACC’s goals, what ACC will be producing, and where you will see them in the future.
This is the point where we start the interview with Mr. Edmondson… Azzkikr Custom Cycles has been an avid participant in the Toy Run for the past 8 years. This year they started out with 32 bikers who joined them by invitation only. Note that about half a dozen of them were new riders. The bikes ACC used were their own – you can see similar motorcycles on display in their shop.
The riders set out from Langley at about 10 am to meet up with the starting point of the Toy Run in Coquitlam and then continued on, meandering through streets and by-ways to Vancouver , to the site of the PNE: Pacific National Exhibition. Joining up with approximately 7,000 more riders on this route, is a great way to showcase what Azzkikr Custom Bikes can do on the road. While at the PNE Azzkikr showcased their custom bikes and baggers before they took the long ride back home to Langley.
The Toy Run Len’s started is a good course, but rather a short ride, lasting only approximately one hour. Not as much scenery as other rides he’s been on, but, it is for a good cause and he is willing to participate, weather permitting , each year on future runs. Another ride ACC was involved with is the Musicians for Therapy Ride, [http://musictherapyride.org ]which occurred on September 8th. This ride takes you from Fraser Downs Raceway in Cansino Vancouver, down to Hwy 7 East, passing through Abbotsford and up to Chilliwack, ending at the The Harrison Hot Springs Resort ‘s Lakeside Café. Len went on to say that he would like ACC to have their own run in future and is working closely with the organizers of the Music Therapy Ride Organization.
Here is a little history about the conception of Azzkikr Custom Cycles. The founder hails from Winnipeg, AB. At the tender age of 16 he started out building and refurbishing cars. It turned out he couldn’t afford the cost of completing the car he wanted to build so he traded it in for a motorcycle. His first bike was Norton 750 Commando [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norton_Commando] and he later graduated to the FXR – HD model, [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harley-Davidson_Super_Glide]. He continued to build, using Harley Davidson manufactured parts.
Later on, after starting a family and his own business, Flynn Canada Limited (a construction company), http://www.flynn.ca/Index.aspx, Len moved to Alberta, continued to build cars and bikes: even having his family join in on projects. Not long after, the family made another move to [BC] British Columbia in 2000, and in 2006 {partnering with his son Gord} Azzkikr Customs Cycles, builders of cars and bikes was born. http://azzkikr.ca/. Since then ACC has fabricated, modified, and produced over a hundred cars and bikes. Most of their sales go to “out of province” or “out of country” customers. Recently ACC has been developping its own ‘Deluxe Specialty Baggers’, using primarily HD[Harley Davidson] parts and frames. You can read up on ACC Baggers as featured in the October 23rd article in the Urban Bagger Magazine. Or check out http://www.urbanbagger.com/ and future articles in the American Bagger Magazine or http://www.americanbagger.com/
The future for Azzkikr Customs Cycles is manufacturing its own Brand of motorcycles from start to finish. Their goal is to make their name in the industry as true custom motorcyle builders.
We at M~2TVextreme are avid fans of Azzkikr Custom Cycles and can’t wait to see more of their products or what we like to call ‘Art on 2-Wheels’, the world of custom motorcycles.
Thank you, Len Edmondson, for the interview and Gord Edmondson for the pictures and T’s. Continued success to Azzkikr Custom Cycles.

Okay. Moto GP fans been waiting for this event. After weeks of practice and tests. 2011 Moto GP first race of season opens in Doha Qatar.
Cold night race, makes for a slippery 22 Laps.
First time seeing top riders all at the back of the bus. Hayden and Rossi finding it hard to put the Ducati through its proper pace. Its going to be a struggle for these two Champs.
Race opens with a good start at the first turn Pedrosa leads. Not half way through lap one and Randy De Punets bike slid out from under him, he’s out. About lap 20 Héctor Barberá on Mapfre Aspar Ducati loses grip, he falls behind.
The race focus now on Honda #25 young Dani Pedrosa eager to be complete race at top of podium lead the race with fellow Repsol Honda mate #27 Casey Stoner on his tail. Round 11: Monster Energy: AMA MX/SX Jacksonville Fla. EverBank Field

Durham 2nd, Ryan Spies 3rd, with #330 AJ Cantanzaro Honda CRF250 and #505 Sean Lipanovich Suzuki RMZ 250 round up top 5.
Heat 1: ME/SX 8 Lap race:
#10 Justin Brayton on on Yamaha YZ450F crashes, he’s out and #41 Trey Canard on Honda CRF450 had a near miss after Braytons crash. What comes next can only be described as a ‘Surprise’!
Lap 2: KTM 350 #800 Mike Alessi takes the lead, on his tail was #1Ryan Dungey on Suzuki RMZ450, followed by, naughty #9 Ivan Tedesco on Kawasaki KX450F, next #321 Fabien Izoird on another Kawi-KX450F. Favorites, #14 Kevin Windham GEICO Honda CRF450R in 7th and #41 Honda’s Trey Canard who escape the pile up earlier followed in 8th position. 3 laps to go another shocker, Alessi falls back and it’s Dungey, Canard, and Ivan Tedesco who are in podium position, Mike Alessi falls to 4th. It was a good effort on his part but he couldn’t keep up his start pace. End of race, it was Ryan Dungey with his 4th heat win, Trey Canard, and Ivan Tedesco.

Next up: Lites Heat 2: Even more excitement.
15 Lap Race: Out the gate and into the 1st Rhythm section multi crashes, #139 Malcom Stewart ARMA Suzuki RMZ250, #533 Gannon Audette Yamaha YZ250, #102 Christopher Gosselaar Suzuki RMZ250. Lap 4 Sipes moves into 3rd, Wharton had lead from Barcia. Lap 5. Blake Wharton went out in the whoops gives Barcia the lead. #65 Hunter Hewitt Honda/Pro Circuit One Industries goes down Lap 7 on the table just outside the ryhthm section. He falls back to 9th position.
Race finished with the rider who’s nursing an injured wrist and 1st 2 time heat winner #17 Justin Barcia, #15 Dean Wilson 2nd, #25 Ryan Sipes. wharton finished 17th, shocker, but out of the crash Malcolm Stewart managed to complete the race in 19th position.
But wait theres more: Main Event SX:
Heat 2:
Out the Gate #2 Ryan Villopoto ME Kawi and #50 Matt Boni TiLubeBrown Motorsport both over rode their bikes in hopes to avoid crash and end up off them. Villopoto blamming Boni but he was not responsible for Ryans mishap.
Okay, so now Villopoto is fraustrated and out. no way he can just slip into another win because Yamaha’s TeamSanManuel #7 James Stewart (who’s now infront) crashes right?!
REDBULL KTMs #29 Andrew Short 2nd (where did he come from, that’s a shocker) and 22, two two motor Aussie Chad Reed 3rd. Well by Lap 3. Chad Reed took ove 2nd spot (yah, probably shocked Andrew also being in 2nd!)
With 3 laps to go #18 Yamaha David Millsaps moves from 6th to 4th.
At this point the commentator were talking tactical and technical jargon about Stewart and how he’s riding. (another shocker, Ricky C was actually saying something positive about J Stewart, this is a first, maybe someone pointed it out to him, as he’s always bias against Stewart when it comes to his pal C Reed, just my observation :) Stewart went on to win his 8th heat win for the season.
Well that good thing wasn’t about to last too long. Reed must of complained about the kudos to Stewart by Carmichael cause what occured in main event can only be explained as, dang this guys been ‘jinxed’. :(
Main Event:
1st corner J. Stewart is out, #26 Michael Byrne BTO sport crashes, Stewart trying to avoid gets hit in back by wheel of #27 Nicholas Wey and ends up taken away by medic. (comentator R.Carmichael trying to sympathize, but, i was not convinced). Also out was #39 Matthew Goerke TiLubeBrown Motorsport Kawi-KX450F.
#41 Trey Canard of America Honda Race team leads #22 Chad Reed 2nd adn #1 Ryan Dungey with #18 David Millsaps an #800 Mike Alessi round up top four 3rd lap of 20.
Fast forward to 5 laps to go adn still hangin on to first is Trey Canard, Chad Reed closing in and Ryan Dungey 3rd, surprise, #14 Kevin Windham in 4th and #27 Nicholas Wey who was part of the crash earlier recovered and now in 10th spot.
Final lap, Honda’s Trey Canard picks up the pace in the whoops, couldn’t catch up 2/2′s Chad Reed, RockStar Suzuki Ryan Dungey finished 3rd his 8th podium posting this season
Kevin Windham held on for points in fourth. James Stewart was off to hospital. Hope he gets well for the T.O. leg of Monster Energy Supercross, Toronto Canada, March 26-27.
