New Age Motorcycles

Kei’s Zero

While standing in line at downtown Vancouver’s Transit office to deal w/ my bum-crushed-inoperable C-Card. I noticed an E-Asian man in riders gear. “Black n Yellow” [3x] in hand a Schuberth C3 Helmet High-Viz [expensive head-gear, I thought]. I figured he may be parked in a spot where he may get ticketed as the line was a-bit lenghty. I offered him my spot in  line [go ahead]. He assents, says it wouldn’t matter. Well, he seems nice of a person. I shouldn’t miss this opportunity to do some M2TVextreme Lifestyle tet-a-tet [putting all (our) proclivity, and my reservedness aside]. I attempted an interview [of sorts]. Here is what transpired. [best of my recollection, since I failed to use my phones video app to record conversation...]

Schuberth C3 Pro Helmet

[After asking, what do you ride, answered]

Zero, electric-motorcycle, from California. [I've heard of them, awesome. I'am thinking it was showcased a couple years ago at the EPiC expo at the Convention Centre, downtown, Vancouver BC, I recall while participating at the event, watching a TV-Media Celebrity of sorts G Strombo' etc try to test it out abit. Should've had a camera phone]. He asked if I ride, [I do not/yet] I mentioned wanting an electric-motorcycle, a S-Korean brand I couldn’t recall the name [brain-freeze, so I'am calling it for now]. It very well, could’ve been an EM=EM1300, 2012. Then again, I said Mitsubishi. Totally wrong brand.

We discussed, his motorcycle, not only is environmentally friendly, economical as for no [gas pollutant] emissions, less noise from pipes [exhaust] is helpful, beneficial to (ones) the ears, [not loud less noise] his helmet [Schubeth brand] and the additional headset attached to his helmet and that he found listening to music (especially at a stop light and for long rides) very accommodating, and relaxing, and he can enjoy the ride more.

… GETTING BACK TO BASIC – October 2015

Reverting to the Extreme segment(s) of our Motorcycle Lifestyle Promotion Showcase.

It’s been awhile since we’ve [M~2TVextremeProd.] have posted anything unique in our sports/entertainment genre. Not until recently, though, we happen upon an entrepreneur who’s innovation (so to speak) is clearly going to be the haute mode of side-walk mobility for the millennials since the ‘Segway PT’ which by the way didn’t clean-up in the industry as they thought it would. Now for your rolling pleasure is the Gyroscope Electric UniCycle. Concept of the mind of a Northern-Ontario [Canada] company, we met the owner Jamie by chance at a Belgian Waffle house right here in VanCity [Vancouver, BC]. Upon inquiry as to his mode of transportation, he excitedly explained how to maneuver this contraption Gyroscope-UniCycle and how it even made his posture and physique better. (he was looking rather fit, physically).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3NpFtWukR4  In comparison to the new “hands-free” hover-board like Segway, (he said), it’s more for indoors (a toy) not practical for out door maneuverability. It’s apparently illegal to ride outside in some European Countries.  http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/p_to_r/road_traffic_offences/#dot  When asked, “how to you stop”.. simple answer is … “Lean Back”…lean back! On that note…we will close off by saying take a look at the more effective of the new trends.. and ‘lean back’… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7yzEyO7Wnk. It’s the remix!

GETTING BACK TO BASIC

Reverting to the Extreme segment(s) of our Motorcycle Lifestyle Promotion Showcase.

When we developed our television series our first theme RR-SBks: Road racing crotch-rocket radical boys and girls. The aficionados, street biker(s), Biker Boyz in the extreme sport of Street-Freestyle Stunting aka mono-wheel mayhem. They, were supportive, opened their inner sanctum to us. Invited us to their un-disclosed [to public] practice sites, to the sharing their professional contacts in the Motorcycle Industry. :-)

The duo-crew of UpOnOne, Chris and Sanjeev were well on their way to being athletes in this un-official sport as well as entrepreneurs in the motorcycle business. They become our “Biker Boyz”. :-)
Through our connection with the UpOnOne boys, we met up with a new crew of SBk-stunt performers by the name of IL~Advized. A ‘Rad’ group of guys from various parts of Ontario (Canada). We got to see them in action at a small show n shine in Brampton.
The dudes did not disappoint. They delighted the crowd with phenomenal stunts like: Sitting, Power n Clutch wheelies, Stand-up Bounce, Can-Can, High-chair, Frog, No handers, Endos and Stoppies, just a few of the amazing tricks these guys do on a 600cc tricked out sport-bike. :-)

See youtube link.

Since then M~2TVextreme production has covered a variety of motorcycle events. Future prospectus is to present a similar show-case on a competitive and grand scale for 2014. There are no shortage of participants, we are seeking industry and manufacturing sponsors to get the ball-rolling. TBC. Check YouTube channel in the coming months for details. :-)

34th Annual Toy Run – Vancouver Christmas Bureau

On Sunday October 7th, in town of Coquitlam suburb of Vancouver {lower mainland} BC, was host to the 34th Annual Toy Run.
This is a motorcycle rally- fundraising drive which raises money for the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau.

M~2TVextreme was unable to attend due to last minute change of plans by our ride contact. It was a perfect day, for a motorcycle-ride. The morning weather was cool/mild abit overcast in some areas but later on it was a perfect fall day; sunny, clement, just right.

Recently M~2TVextreme caught up with one of the participants and organizers of the 34th Annual Vancouver Toy-Run.
Adele Tompkins, Executive Director of the BC {British Columbia} Coalition of Motorcyclist.
In the 34 years of this fundraising biker event, Adele’s been involved for 23 years. Adele’s primary involvement as coordinator is to be the key contact from start to finish. Her role consist of consignment of vendors, organizing the route volunteers, solidifying contract/grants and permits from each judicial township to have the parade or motorcycles go through their streets, having policing at major intersection along the route making sure all goes well on the ride from Coquitlam through 4-other municipalities to Vancouver. And at the end of the run (PNE) where you will find Adele at her booth receiving the Toys and Donations [money] raised for this years’ Toy-Run.
The run starts from the Coquitlam Centre meandering through neighbouring streets and holiday traffic to completion at the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) an hours ride of approximately 35.0 kilometres.
If you can imagine, a bevy of motorcyclist and enthusiasts (passengers bikers) a mere 7,000 bikers riding through your town some with friends/companions in tow(passengers) to a mass to about 10,000 some with toys, some just decked-up and out for a nice ride with felly bikers and friends. [It] was an amazing sight and sound, no doubt. This ride is soo popular it is said that some groups and clubs do ticket draws to see who gets to go on the ride.

We all know for an event of this magnitude you cannot do it alone, so with the help of the Sheikh Community and biker club, they enlisted about 40 volunteers to be route-guides. Sat-suri aqul.

This event is said to be the Largest Run in Canada. This Thanks- giving weekends run has raised over $20,000 in cash and brought in about 4,000 new toys care-of The Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau ran by Chris Bayliff, Executive Director (of).
Each year around Christmas time they [LMCB] help a registered list of economically challenged families through-out the Province [BC] to toys for their kids and a food basket(s).

At the end of the run, bikers/passengers look forward to a relaxing afternoon of catching up with friends who they may only get to see once a year at the rally [Toy/Run]. A select group of vendors providing food, arts/crafts, motorcycle part/gear, and baggers are on sight. But, if you were to look around, you would see, a sea of people, motorcyclist/bikers all standing around talking to each other, this is the camaraderie of bikers, and the image we at M~2TVextreme like to illustrate to you our supporters/viewers about bikers on Motorcyclin’~II TV Production.

In closing this years’ event was as successful as years prior. As older bikers dwindle in attendance, there were new riders to fill in the gap. There were no accidents, incidents, and all in all, smooth sailing; sts [so to speak].
Coming up next our interview with one of the Toy Runs participants and motorcycle industry custom biker builder and proprietor of Azzkikr Customs, Langley BC. Len Edmondson
Stay tuned…
