June 2013 Motorcyclin~II TV Production Event Attended

Sunday June 9th: Trev-Deeley Harley Davidson – Museum
Event: Annual Shore n Shine
Time: 11-4 p.m

Another Sunny weekend on the ‘wet coast‘, with clouds looming in certain areas of lower-mainland Vancouver BC. If anyone knows this part of the Globe knows that you don’t trust weather. It may call for rain one minute in your area but, next thing you know wind changes and it’s a nice Sunny day.
M~2TVextreme venture out to the Trev-Deeley HD Shore n Swine or was that Shine? Event at their Boundary Rd Lougheed Hwy location.
Upon arrival, [we] heard live rock music blaring from the parking lot, view a sea of HD’s and the rare Other manufacturers, we won’t mention lined up. Bikers and enthusiasts engaging in the usual chat up about their rides, some checking out the vendors and just hanging out listening to music on a warm sunny afternoon.
We stopped by a couple scoping out a sleek black HD V-Rod muscle. Speaking to the female half of this young couple, we found that she just completed her 1st year as a newbie rider, never a passenger, but, thought instead of agonizing about her husbands’ safety while out on the road, she’d try out the biker lifestyle; took lessons got herself a bike, head out on the road now riding with her husband.
That’s what we [M~2TVextreme] like to hear, not the usual… ‘my girlfriend or wife made me sell my bike‘. So, cudos to you sistah‘ for joining the fun and not sullying the joy and freedom one feels when out on the open road. She enjoys it so much she was the one interested in the V-Rod, felt she could handle a little more muscle on the road.

Our [M~2TVextremes] main agenda was to interview the creator – producer of Virtual Ride TV. VRideTv.com. and youtube channel. We had a good interview with Jeff Pennock about his V-Rod Anniversary Edition, and riding all over this great land, Canada, her provincial parks and scenic mountains, lakes and rivers.
He’s also supported by his better half, wife who sometimes goes with him on his trek/tours as companion and sometimes filming. Explore Canada with VirtualRideTV. More of interview to come. check out M~2TVextreme Channel on Youtube.

After filming of the array of custom choppers, and tweeked up HDs Road Kings, NightRods, Softtails, Heritage, FatBoy,Switchbacks just to name a few, it was not just a HD gathering, Buells, Yamaha, Honda, even some, Scooters, and other SBk’s at this event.

We stopped off for “Just Here For The BEER” tent. We spoke briefly to a female volunteer who was their only to support her friend and CEO of JHFTB, Mr. Rick Mohabir, mentioned that they were selling T’shirts as fundraiser in memorial of a dear friend who’d passed and about the annual ‘BeerFest’ coming up at Swan Garden Stadium in July2013. TBC on our, YouTube Channel.check out website for more details. justhereforthebeer.com.

Before wrapping up and running out of disk space on our digi-cam. We spoke to a couple of women-enthusiast passenger riders who, like ourselves [M~2TVextreme Prod] like to enjoy the ride. We don’t have to worry much about handling the bike on the road… just loving the ride.
We then, hustled down to Italian Day Fest on Commercial Dr. Weather still good, but, we didn’t get to the motorcycle dealer displays this year… we have some footage from 2012 Italia Day Ducati, Moto-guzzi and yes some Alfa-romeos classic‘… We love 4 wheels too, fast – vintage, and newer models as well. :-)

We will post on M~2TVex-Gallery later. We Hope to find more female bikers to interview in our next segment. :-)
Until next event…
Ride hard, Ride safe… Mj from M~2TVextreme, peace – out!

M~2TVextreme Motorcycle Meet-Up- Episodical

One of our members joined a social networking site called MeetUp. Our aim is to broaden our audience awareness and increase our content.
There are a few social meet-up groups for motorcycle enthusiastsand officiandos out there, some are more restricted to ‘just bikers’, meaning you may not attend or join their ‘group’ unless you own-ride a motorcycle namely a HOG. :-(
We didn’t join that one, but, found one operated by a female which we were glad to be a member of as, it is our aim to promote more female riders and women leading a professional and leisure lifestyle as a motorcyclist; or any motorized two/three wheeled vehicles ie: scooters, trykes, sbks etc.

Sunday June 2nd2013
There were couple events to attend. 1. a show n shine in Surrey BC and 2. Ride fundraiser in south Surrey/Langley BC. Both at Churches.
M~2TVex rep. Mj went to the closer of the two events, North Surrey just across the Fraser River in Scott Road area.
The weather was good all-round. Should prove to be a good day to ride and events should bring out a-lot of motorcyclists. None short as Surrey is pegged to have the most bikers in BC. :-)

Arriving at event, see approximately 100 bikes and about the same amount of patrons. Albeit, not at one time. The Bbq-pit was smoking, literally, live music was playing in the back lot, people mingling, viewing bikes entered in the ‘Peoples Choice’ contest for best custom – tweek’d -motorcycle. Mostly HD’s, found one lone Indian bagger,#17, mauve paint, in the competition. In the line up you found mosty Harleys, from Deluxe, Fat boy, Heritage Softtails, and a few vintage models.
See Mj’s M2TVextreme, pic for show stopper and favourite all-round HD

The Freedom Church Show n Shines fundraiser held by members - bikers of the Surrey parish. Goal is to help raise money to build another Freedom Church in Red Deer AB. Today’s event brought several members from the Alberta FC congregation. Mj spoke briefly to an enthusiastic volunteer name Amber who was handing out ballots for the Peoples Choice motorcycle, a minimal purchase of 1 for a buck. ;-)
That was easy on our pocket (zero budget for this event coverage).

To wrap up, M2TVex presence at the Freedom Church Show n Shine was eventful, we saw some cool bikes, met couple nice patrons who were nice enough to give us some information about this fundraising campaign.
Thanks to Amber and others at this event who stop to chat with us.

sound-bite, b-roll of event tba on M-2TVextremes Youtube Channel.
Until then, ride hard, ride safe. peace-out
Mj

*(post event found out Mj was excommunicated from HK’s HD MeetUp motorcycle group) so much for being friendly in BC. :-)

Coming Event: June 9th, 2013 Trev-Deeley HD BC. Show n Swine (shine) guest Jeff Pennock: of Virtual Riding TV-News. Rides his V-Rod across Canada. Touring on a motorcycle what better way to see and go where four-wheels don’t often traverse. More you can check his website – below http://www.vridetv.com/index.html or follow him on twitter: click M~2TVextreme twitter icon.

34th Annual Toy Run – Vancouver Christmas Bureau

On Sunday October 7th, in town of Coquitlam suburb of Vancouver {lower mainland} BC, was host to the 34th Annual Toy Run.
This is a motorcycle rally- fundraising drive which raises money for the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau.

M~2TVextreme was unable to attend due to last minute change of plans by our ride contact. It was a perfect day, for a motorcycle-ride. The morning weather was cool/mild abit overcast in some areas but later on it was a perfect fall day; sunny, clement, just right.

Recently M~2TVextreme caught up with one of the participants and organizers of the 34th Annual Vancouver Toy-Run.
Adele Tompkins, Executive Director of the BC {British Columbia} Coalition of Motorcyclist.
In the 34 years of this fundraising biker event, Adele’s been involved for 23 years. Adele’s primary involvement as coordinator is to be the key contact from start to finish. Her role consist of consignment of vendors, organizing the route volunteers, solidifying contract/grants and permits from each judicial township to have the parade or motorcycles go through their streets, having policing at major intersection along the route making sure all goes well on the ride from Coquitlam through 4-other municipalities to Vancouver. And at the end of the run (PNE) where you will find Adele at her booth receiving the Toys and Donations [money] raised for this years’ Toy-Run.
The run starts from the Coquitlam Centre meandering through neighbouring streets and holiday traffic to completion at the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) an hours ride of approximately 35.0 kilometres.
If you can imagine, a bevy of motorcyclist and enthusiasts (passengers bikers) a mere 7,000 bikers riding through your town some with friends/companions in tow(passengers) to a mass to about 10,000 some with toys, some just decked-up and out for a nice ride with felly bikers and friends. [It] was an amazing sight and sound, no doubt. This ride is soo popular it is said that some groups and clubs do ticket draws to see who gets to go on the ride.

We all know for an event of this magnitude you cannot do it alone, so with the help of the Sheikh Community and biker club, they enlisted about 40 volunteers to be route-guides. Sat-suri aqul.

This event is said to be the Largest Run in Canada. This Thanks- giving weekends run has raised over $20,000 in cash and brought in about 4,000 new toys care-of The Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau ran by Chris Bayliff, Executive Director (of).
Each year around Christmas time they [LMCB] help a registered list of economically challenged families through-out the Province [BC] to toys for their kids and a food basket(s).

At the end of the run, bikers/passengers look forward to a relaxing afternoon of catching up with friends who they may only get to see once a year at the rally [Toy/Run]. A select group of vendors providing food, arts/crafts, motorcycle part/gear, and baggers are on sight. But, if you were to look around, you would see, a sea of people, motorcyclist/bikers all standing around talking to each other, this is the camaraderie of bikers, and the image we at M~2TVextreme like to illustrate to you our supporters/viewers about bikers on Motorcyclin’~II TV Production.

In closing this years’ event was as successful as years prior. As older bikers dwindle in attendance, there were new riders to fill in the gap. There were no accidents, incidents, and all in all, smooth sailing; sts [so to speak].
Coming up next our interview with one of the Toy Runs participants and motorcycle industry custom biker builder and proprietor of Azzkikr Customs, Langley BC. Len Edmondson
Stay tuned…

Young Texan #21 Blake Wharton on GEICO Honda, lead most of the race with #37 Darryn Durham Honda Team and Ryan Spies on Yamaha on his tail. Wharton GEICO Honda wins Heat 1. Durham 2nd, Ryan Spies 3rd, with #330 AJ Cantanzaro Honda CRF250 and #505 Sean Lipanovich Suzuki RMZ 250 round up top 5.
Heat 1: ME/SX 8 Lap race:
#10 Justin Brayton on on Yamaha YZ450F crashes, he’s out and #41 Trey Canard on Honda CRF450 had a near miss after Braytons crash. What comes next can only be described as a ‘Surprise’!
Lap 2: KTM 350 #800 Mike Alessi takes the lead, on his tail was #1Ryan Dungey on Suzuki RMZ450, followed by, naughty #9 Ivan Tedesco on Kawasaki KX450F, next #321 Fabien Izoird on another Kawi-KX450F. Favorites, #14 Kevin Windham GEICO Honda CRF450R in 7th and #41 Honda’s Trey Canard who escape the pile up earlier followed in 8th position. 3 laps to go another shocker, Alessi falls back and it’s Dungey, Canard, and Ivan Tedesco who are in podium position, Mike Alessi falls to 4th. It was a good effort on his part but he couldn’t keep up his start pace. End of race, it was Ryan Dungey with his 4th heat win, Trey Canard, and Ivan Tedesco.

Next up: Lites Heat 2: Even more excitement.
15 Lap Race: Out the gate and into the 1st Rhythm section multi crashes, #139 Malcom Stewart ARMA Suzuki RMZ250, #533 Gannon Audette Yamaha YZ250, #102 Christopher Gosselaar Suzuki RMZ250. Out of the pack to lead was #17 Justin Barcia GEICO Honda, with teammate #21 Blake Wharton, #15 Dean Wilson ME/Pro Circuit Kawasaki, #25 Ryan Spies DNA Shred/Stix team and #37 Darryn Durham of Eleven 10 Mods/race team. Lap 4 Sipes moves into 3rd, Wharton had lead from Barcia. Lap 5. Blake Wharton went out in the whoops gives Barcia the lead. #65 Hunter Hewitt Honda/Pro Circuit One Industries goes down Lap 7 on the table just outside the ryhthm section. He falls back to 9th position.
Race finished with the rider who’s nursing an injured wrist and 1st 2 time heat winner #17 Justin Barcia, #15 Dean Wilson 2nd, #25 Ryan Sipes. wharton finished 17th, shocker, but out of the crash Malcolm Stewart managed to complete the race in 19th position.
But wait theres more: Main Event SX:
Heat 2:
Out the Gate #2 Ryan Villopoto ME Kawi and #50 Matt Boni TiLubeBrown Motorsport both over rode their bikes in hopes to avoid crash and end up off them. Villopoto blamming Boni but he was not responsible for Ryans mishap.
Okay, so now Villopoto is fraustrated and out. no way he can just slip into another win because Yamaha’s TeamSanManuel #7 James Stewart (who’s now infront) crashes right?!
REDBULL KTMs #29 Andrew Short 2nd (where did he come from, that’s a shocker) and 22, two two motor Aussie Chad Reed 3rd. Well by Lap 3. Chad Reed took ove 2nd spot (yah, probably shocked Andrew also being in 2nd!)
With 3 laps to go #18 Yamaha David Millsaps moves from 6th to 4th.
At this point the commentator were talking tactical and technical jargon about Stewart and how he’s riding. (another shocker, Ricky C was actually saying something positive about J Stewart, this is a first, maybe someone pointed it out to him, as he’s always bias against Stewart when it comes to his pal C Reed, just my observation :) Stewart went on to win his 8th heat win for the season.
Well that good thing wasn’t about to last too long. Reed must of complained about the kudos to Stewart by Carmichael cause what occured in main event can only be explained as, dang this guys been ‘jinxed’. :(
Main Event:
1st corner J. Stewart is out, #26 Michael Byrne BTO sport crashes, Stewart trying to avoid gets hit in back by wheel of #27 Nicholas Wey and ends up taken away by medic. (comentator R.Carmichael trying to sympathize, but, i was not convinced). Also out was #39 Matthew Goerke TiLubeBrown Motorsport Kawi-KX450F.
#41 Trey Canard of America Honda Race team leads #22 Chad Reed 2nd adn #1 Ryan Dungey with #18 David Millsaps an #800 Mike Alessi round up top four 3rd lap of 20.
Fast forward to 5 laps to go adn still hangin on to first is Trey Canard, Chad Reed closing in and Ryan Dungey 3rd, surprise, #14 Kevin Windham in 4th and #27 Nicholas Wey who was part of the crash earlier recovered and now in 10th spot.
Final lap, Honda’s Trey Canard picks up the pace in the whoops, couldn’t catch up 2/2′s Chad Reed, RockStar Suzuki Ryan Dungey finished 3rd his 8th podium posting this season
Kevin Windham held on for points in fourth. James Stewart was off to hospital. Hope he gets well for the T.O. leg of Monster Energy Supercross, Toronto Canada, March 26-27.
